Sunday, December 2, Re: Exam Review Sheets
A number of students have asked for copies of the review sheets from
Exams III and IV. Here are links to PDF copies:
Friday, November 30, Re: Final Exam Review The review for the final exam will be on Sunday, Dec. 2, 6:15-8:00pm in the Culpin Room. Below are some suggested problems to review. We will go over any of them that you wish to at the review and answer any other questions. Please note that some of these problems are more complex than what will be on the exam.
Problems: 2.19, 3.9, 3.13, 3.39, 4.11, 4.43, 4.67, 5.13, 5.21, 7.41, 7.63, 8.35, 8.47, 10.1, 10.15, 10.29, 10.65.
I will have the rest of your homework graded by tomorrow (Saturday) morning. I am giving a final exam in the Manor Computer Lab 9:30-11:30am tomorrow morning. You may stop by to pick up your homework then.
Tomorrow afternoon, I will send email to each of you with the scores I have recorded for you and your current weighted percentage not counting the final exam. Please note that the final exam is worth 25% of your final grade, so it can easily raise or lower your final grade depending on how well you do relative to your current standing.
Sunday, October 21, Re: Reminders: Exam III Review, Video Linkup A friendly reminder that the review session for Exam III is tomorrow (Monday) at 6:15pm in the Culpin Room. If you have specific problems you'd definitely like to go over, please let me know sooner rather than later.
Also, I'm still looking for some students to do the video linkup with ENGR/CS 101 on Wednesday, Oct. 24, and/or Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 3pm. So far one student has volunteered for each session. We'd like to have 4-6 at each session. Thanks!
Tuesday, October 2, Re: Review Session, Part II
I have reserved the Culpin Room for 3pm-5pm tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon
for the review session.
Sunday, September 30, Re: Exam 2 Review Session
This is a reminder that the review session for Exam 2 will be tomorrow
(Monday) at 6pm in the Culpin Room. We have the room until 8pm, so
hopefully all your questions will be answered.
Wednesday, September 12, Re: MicroCap and SciLab software
As part of the EE 210 course, everyone is expected to learn how to use a
circuit simulator and a math software package. Here at Harlaxton, we will
be using the demo version of MicroCap for the circuit simulator (same one
they're using at UE) and SciLab for the math software package (an
open-source clone of MatLab). Both of these are freely available for
download.
For those with computers here, you should download these software packages from the following:
MicroCap:
http://www.spectrum-soft.com/demodownnew.shtm
Scilab: http://www.scilab.org/
To make up for the fact that the labs started a week late, tomorrow before the exam I will hand out tutorials for both packages. Please install the software and do the tutorials before class on Tuesday. (Each tutorial is about 15-20 minutes.) If you have problems with the tutorials, I have office hours on Thursday and Monday at 3pm in Library Reception or send me email for an appointment.
For those without computers, I will have Mark Crowson install the software in the Manor Computer Lab, hopefully no later than Friday.
From now on, as least one person in each lab team should bring a computer to lab.
Friday, September 7, Re: Exam 1 Review
A review session for Exam 1 will be held on Monday, September 10,
6-7pm, in the Culpin Room. We will discuss whichever homework
problems people want to discuss. However, you are responsible for
doing the homework, so don't expect to have every problem solved to
completion.
